"Flight Simulator X (FSX) has the tag line "as real as it gets"....so there
was no other choice than to go with Motoart! From the FSX booth's initial
design, through manufacturing, to final product, crated and boxed to be
delivered in Oshkosh all within 28 days, amazing! The quality of the booth will
speak for itself now and in the years to come as it will be used in events
from Oshkosh, to the annual AOPA show, to the Paris Air show in 2007"

MotoArt and Microsoft teamed up to deliver a unique and compelling design
exhibit space, to present ACES Flight Simulator X. Touted by aviation
enthusiasts as THE "as real as it gets" flight simulation experience.
Microsoft debuted their new Flight SimX exhibit at the EAA Air Show 2006 in
Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Flight SimX is not due out for release until Q4, 2006.
Microsoft, after looking long and hard, engaged MotoArt to design a concept
that is both functional and visually striking to envelope the user in
the interactive game display. MotoArt brings together the past, present and
future in the spirit of this design, while staying true to its passion and
love of aviation to promote Flight SimX for Microsoft.
The exhibit was created utilizing four TBM Avenger Elevators each mounted on
a set of four 737 Galley Bars to create the user space to play the game.
Flat panel monitors are placed on the Avenger elevators and hard drives are
housed in the adapted Galley Bars which support the brushed aluminum game
surface for peripheral control support. The TBM Avenger Elevators are strategically arranged at the
perimeter surrounding a 12' Air Traffic Control Tower which anchors the
entire exhibit. The final product is a work of art from a design perspective,
all powder-coated in silver and brushed aluminum accents in stark yet modern
contrast with the Microsoft monitors and peripherals. |
