When Boeing International wanted a strikingly, high-flying simulator to fuel interest in their new 787 Dreamliner, they commissioned MotoArt to design and fabricate it.
MotoArt created the shroud from the engine nacelle of a
Boeing KC-97 Stratotanker, AKA: “The Flying Boom”. A polished, spun aluminum nose cone highlighted the exterior. Team MotoArt fitted the interior with Plexiglass & perforated metal inlets, instrument panel, upholstery-fitted trim and for extra durability, a rubber laminate floor.
The simulator was later sent to Boeing for flight sim avionics installation. It made its stunning debut at AIRFRANCE’s 75th anniversary party in Paris and now tours globally.
