Hot to Trot

The Murray Grey Foundation announced that it will be teaming up with the aviation and music industry at MotoArt studios on Saturday, May 1, 2010 to hold a charity fundraising concert featuring the Blues Brothers tribute band and other surprise celebrity guests. Together, they will raise needed funds for military families and provide a financial and emotional safety net for those families that serve or have served America.
“Aim High Events is excited to be working together on this co-operative fundraising effort and we’re fortunate MotoArt has offered to host the night's festivities", said Jim Pera of Aim High Marketing, the coordinators of the night’s events. With the glowing runway of Torrance Airport as a backdrop, MotoArt features a canopy of camo net while the walls and ceilings are dripping with vintage airplane parts and banners of USO pin-up girls. Airplane jump seats are converted into couches and gobo lights float through this extraordinary space that seems part aviation museum and part New York dance club. Our guests are encouraged to dress in cocktail or 1940s attire and they’ll have the unique opportunity to bid on some very exciting items with proceeds going to those local military families in need. Guests will also be able to get up-close to some authentic, vintage World War II aircraft, including the B-25 “Executive Sweet", P-51 Mustang, and P-38 Lighting. We’ll have military vehicles, one-of-a-kind entertainment from a Blues Brothers tribute band, celebrity entertainers, and guests will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the pin-up models from the Warbird Calendar.
